About Dee

Dee Lamb is a Clinical Nutritionist and Holistic Wellness Advisor who at age 55 decided to return to study and pursue a career in the health and wellness space. Dee changed from a long-term career in product development and innovation in a high-pressure corporate environment, to a vocation that lies at the heart and soul of who she is as a person.

Early on in my corporate career, I tried to step into the world of nutrition and naturopathy however, timing was not on my side due to family and financial responsibilities. Despite being unable to change careers in my 20’s, I maintained a strong interest in healthy ageing; lifespan science; generational studies; demographics and family history. I’ve always been curious about nutrition science, ageing, longevity and the extra twenty to thirty years of life most of us are lucky to have post-retirement. The quality of those extra years is underpinned by healthspan, social connection, purpose, strength, energy, and vitality. I’m a strong advocate for redefining ageing as a positive experience and being part of the movement that is challenging the stereotypical norms of ageing.

Whilst I’m grateful for the opportunities provided by my corporate career, the overall experience was not conducive to living a long, healthy life. The relentless pressure, corporate politics, long hours, 3-hour daily commute, and performance expectations all weighed heavily on my mind and chronic stress negatively impacted my physical and mental health. Combined with poor food choices, zero movement, restless sleep, low energy, low mood, and fatigue, the constant cortisol production wreaked havoc on my body. Throw in peri-menopause, spinal surgery, carer’s fatigue and workplace harassment, I was absolutely miserable. I had nothing left to give and yet I kept pushing myself to keep going!

Despite being ridiculously unhealthy, I found joy in learning. I attended a ‘Rethink Your Career’ workshop in 2017 about changing careers in your 40’s and beyond. It was quite a defining moment as it provided optimism and hope for the future. In early 2020 I physically started the change process following the death of my father. He died from the complications of a dreadful auto-immune disease. His pain and suffering was immense and I had no knowledge on how to help him, but it was the catalyst I needed to get serious about my own health journey. I started to assess my needs from a holistic wellness perspective. What did I need to do to nurture and improve my mind, body, and spirit to increase my healthspan? This was not a 6 or 12 week reset program – sustainable, long-term change was required. Hard work and commitment were required. A lifelong approach was required. I came to realise that simple changes can transform your life. Let me help you transform your life too.
